Duane C. Gilkey Albuquerque, New Mexico
Mr. Gilkey has extensive experience representing local, regional and national employers in all phases of labor and employment law. His practice deals with all federal and state laws affecting the employer-employee relationship including employment discrimination, wrongful discharge, federal contract compliance, occupational safety and health, wage and hour, unfair labor practices, collective bargaining and labor arbitration. Mr. Gilkey has successfully defended employers in many employment discrimination, wrongful termination and labor cases in state and federal courts. Past successes cannot be an assurance of future success because each case must be decided on its own merits.
To assist the employer in avoiding expensive litigation, Mr. Gilkey emphasizes preventive counseling of the general manager and personnel manager to ensure appropriate administration of personnel policies. In that regard, his practice includes the presentation of seminars and workshops on topical employment law issues to his clients' management personnel.
Mr. Gilkey is listed as the leading employment defense lawyer in New Mexico in Chambers USA -- America's Leading Business Lawyers, 2002-2003. Mr. Gilkey is also listed in Best Lawyers in America (Labor & Employment Law) and is a fellow in the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers. Each of these results were derived from a lawyer poll or survey.
